Stephen
Watson teaches in the dept of English at the University
of Cape Town. He has published a number of books, includingA
Writers Diary (Queillerie, 1997) and The Other
City: Selected Poems (David Philip, 2000). He has also
written many reviews as well as essays, ranging from Eastern European
writers to local cultural conditions. He lives in St James, on
the eastern seaboard of the Cape Peninsula.
